ASSESSING & COACHING LEADERSHIP TALENT
Leadership failure is less about having the "right stuff" and more about having the "wrong stuff" - the dysfunctional characteristics that is associated with leadership failure. How do you indentify these dysfunctional traits before you hire the person?

Sydney Finkelstein of the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in 2003 wrote about:

THE SEVEN HABITS OF SPECTACULARLY UNSUCCESSFUL PEOPLE

  1. Over estimate their strength and under estimat the strength of the competition.
  2. Put personal interests ahead of company interests.
  3. Arrogant and make reckless decisions.
  4. Eliminate anyone who might challenge their decisions.
  5. Ignore operations while trying manage their company's image.
  6. Minimize difficult obstacles and don't plan accordingly.
  7. Rely on outdated strategies and tactics.

Time and time again, we at Career Consultants Group consult with executives who tell us they learned about these dysfunctional traints AFTER they hired or promoted a person.

If you would like to learn how to:

  • Identify these dysfunctional tendencies before you hire or promote your next executive/manager
  • Assess a leader/manager who is underperforming or fits any of these characteristics
  • Provide leadership coaching to improve a leader/manager's performance
  • Receive a complimentary leadership assessment that demonstrates how to evaluate managers before you hire or promote them
